Tourist and Business Visa Requirements
 
 
Travel notes:
 
Us passport must be signed, valid for at least 6 months and with at least 2-3 blank visa pages not amendment pages in passport. If your passport does not meet the requirements, we can assist with obtaining new passport, passport renewal or add additional pages for a valid US passport.
Application forms may be duplicated on plain paper but must be clear copies with original signature.
Visa requirements are for US citizens only. If you are not a US citizen please contact our office at (914) 592-2760.
 
Entry requirements:
 
Passport and Visa are required.
NON US CITIZENS PHOTO COPY of GREEN CARD (residency card) OR/ if have valid visa for US must be inside passport EX. H1B, I94 any type.
PHOTO COPY of previous CHINA visa if applying for a multiple entry visa (in present or previous passport)

As of July 2011 in addition to Actual passport, PHOTO COPY of Signature/Vital Statistics pages from passport. If requesting a Multiple entry,also REQUIRED is a PHOTO COPY of previous China Visa.
As of July first all applications for China will be filled out completely online and printed and signed. Applications will not be accepted with corrections on (Crossed out or white out). All questions must be filled out Completely any question that's left Blank will result in denying the application, any question that does not apply to the traveler you must put down N/A, and do not leave it Blank.
All application must complete Form V 2011A.Non US and student visa or work visa applicants should also complete and submit Form V2011B
All applicants must sign the application form even if the form is completed by another person, except that a parent or Guardian may sign on behalf of an applicant under the age of 18
Scanned or photocopied signatures are not acceptable
Visa application for China must be printer on 4 pages, no double side applications please.
Valid, signed US passport.
One Visa Application Form signed and completed. CNNYCONSULATE JUNE 2011 EDITION(located at the bottom of each page)
For Non US Citizen, Students, and work visa one 2011B form signed and completed along with Visa Application Form signed and completed.
ALL APPLICATIONS FOR CHINA -ALL QUESTIONS must be completed. Multiple entry requests must provide proof of previous visa, if application marked Multiple and no previous visit, APPLICATION will be denied as of July 18.

One passport type photograph.
   
  Business Visa requirements:
Itinerary of travel arrangement provided by travel agent.
Visa Order Form
Business invitation from ministry or host (e-mail accepted) in CHINA is required.
Confirmation letter from your employer in the United States (The letter must specify the applicant's name & position, the employer's name & position, the company's name, address & phone number, also purpose, time duration and person or company to visit, and guarantee for expenses in China, etc.) click for Sample business letter.
 
  • This letter must be on your company letterhead.
  • This letter must be sign by someone other than the applicant.
   
  Tourist Visa requirements:
If applying for a one year visa entry, a pervious record of visiting mainland china must be provided.
If former nationality is Chinese, Chinese passport must be provided.

Vaccinations are NOT required unless travel is from or through an infected area.

Passports submitted on day of arrival an additional $25.00 fee will be applied.
The Consulate General of China is not guaranteeing multiple entry visas right now for China. Until further notice you can ask for multiple but may be granted single entry within 30 days.
As of May 12th, 2008 when canceling China visa due to insufficient documents or denial from consulate there will be an additional $25.00 Special handling fee to Just-In Document Service.
As of May 3, 2011 for at least 3 months time the consulate General of China will not process a visa request in SAMEDAY (until further notice). 24-48 hours is still available upon request and based upon approval from the Consulate.

When applying for MULTIPLE ENTRY visa, MUST make a photo-copy of previous CHINA VISA to submit with application

Federal Express starting at $25.95 for priority Weekday Delivery. Other Special Deliveries of Federal Express VARY (Ex. SATURDAY DELIVERY OR 8AM DELIVERY, call for rates). RESIDENTS deliveries is additional $3.00 to have signature required. Verify SIGNATURE OR NO SIGNATURE must be selected.
